Aviaula believes communities know what they need.
Opportunity Grants support community-identified projects that remove barriers to education through targeted investments in resources, technology, transportation, and learning opportunities. We work alongside schools, educators, and community organizations to help make educational opportunities possible when a practical barrier stands in the way.
What can an Opportunity Grant support?
We’re open to projects that help students and communities access educational opportunities. This might include:
School supplies and learning materials
Technology and equipment
Transportation
Academic competitions and enrichment activities
Workshops, camps, and community learning programs
Other needs identified by the community
If you’re working on something that doesn’t fit neatly into these categories, tell us about it anyway. We’re interested in the idea and the need, not just the category.
Our approach
We listen first.
Aviaula does not come into communities with predetermined solutions. We want to understand what people are already building, what barriers they are encountering, and whether we can be useful.
Funding is one form of support. Depending on the project, partnership may also mean connecting people to resources, sharing knowledge, or helping develop an idea.
Opportunity Grants are intended for schools, educators, community organizations, and other local groups working to expand educational opportunity.
You don't need to have a large organization or an elaborate program. We're interested in understanding what you're trying to make possible and what is standing in the way.
Who can apply?
The Process
1. Tell us what you're building.
Submit a short Opportunity Grant request describing the project, the community it serves, and the support you need.
2. Let's talk.
If your project aligns with the fund’s purpose, we'll connect with you to learn more and explore how Aviaula can be useful.
3. Build together.
If funding is a good fit, we'll work with you to determine the appropriate investment and next steps.
4. Make it happen.
You lead the work. Aviaula helps remove the barrier.
